Project Overview

This project covered the OEM production coordination, compliance structuring, and end-to-end import execution into Turkey for three consumer electrical product groups: a rechargeable neck massage pillow, a hot–cold function air purifier, and a battery-powered mini blender. All products were manufactured in China with Lupos branding integrated directly at factory level and imported under Lupos Dış Ticaret’s responsibility.

This work was conducted not as a trading activity, but as an internally executed import operation using the same control structure applied in client projects. The objective was to ensure that all technical, regulatory, and customs requirements were fully structured before shipment to Turkey and that post-import risks were eliminated. Before execution, the product scope was evaluated in terms of technical requirements, regulatory exposure, and market suitability as part of our product research and import feasibility study. This framework is based on the operational control model used within our fully managed import consulting service.

The scope included supplier control, product adaptation for Turkey, regulatory document structuring, labeling and manual localization, in-process quality checks in China, controlled shipment release, and logistics organization and customs process coordination.

High Inspection Exposure

These product categories are frequently subject to inspection, documentation scrutiny, and technical nonconformity findings during import into Turkey, which are among the main risks encountered when importing from China.

Elevated Electrical & Battery Risk

All items fall under CE electrical safety rules. The air purifier’s heating function increases risk classification, while the massage pillow and mini blender contain lithium batteries, adding transport and safety compliance obligations.

Food-Contact & Appliance Scrutiny

The mini blender also falls under food-contact and household appliance controls, increasing documentation sensitivity and customs review intensity.

Factory Configuration Gaps

Factory-standard versions were not aligned with Turkish requirements. Electrical ratings, labeling, user manuals, and conformity documents required restructuring before production closure.

TAREKS & Documentation Sensitivity

Weak or inconsistent files often trigger TAREKS controls or physical inspection. Preventing delays required a fully structured technical file aligned with declared GTIP data before shipment.

Factory Production & Branding Control

Supplier-side production was supervised through on-site factory inspection in China, with Lupos branding integrated during manufacturing. Logos were applied at factory level to product bodies, packaging, and rating labels to ensure full traceability and eliminate post-production relabeling risks.

Turkey Market Technical Adaptation

Each product was reviewed and adjusted for Turkey market suitability. Electrical specifications, charging interfaces, and safety markings were verified against EU-based directives enforced under Turkey’s product safety framework.

CE & Technical File Structuring

Compliance structuring covered CE conformity under LVD and EMC, with RoHS included for electrical components. Technical files were organized to match declared product configurations before shipment.

Battery & Heating Safety Review

Battery safety documentation was evaluated for rechargeable devices, while the air purifier’s heating function was reviewed for temperature control, overheat protection, and correct maximum power declarations.

Turkish Labeling & Manuals

Turkish-language user manuals were prepared and label content structured to include importer details, electrical ratings, safety warnings, and traceability information in line with market surveillance expectations.

Pre-Shipment QC & Release Control

Random sampling inspections were conducted in China under Lupos supervision. Performance, visual conformity, labeling accuracy, and packaging integrity were verified, and shipment release was approved only after full document–product alignment.

Outcome

The products were imported into Turkey without customs holds, technical document rejection, or post-entry compliance intervention. This indicates that the regulatory structuring, documentation alignment, and pre-shipment controls were sufficient to meet Turkish import and product safety expectations, adding another successful entry to our portfolio of import projects.

The project demonstrates Lupos Dış Ticaret’s ability to manage high-risk consumer electrical product imports under its own responsibility using the same compliance, verification, and control systems applied to client projects. It highlights competence not in product sales, but in executing complex OEM production and Turkey-focused import compliance with controlled regulatory risk, as also demonstrated in another implementation project involving complex electrical equipment imports and in our multi-supplier controlled import execution project.
